  • Elementary Teacher

Chireno ISD is currently looking for an elementary classroom teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.  This individual will need to possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited university, Texas Teacher certification in the appropriate assigned area, ESL certified preferred, and a completed Reading Academy certification or equivalent.  The district currently pays $5,000 above state base with an additional $1,000 for a masters degree.  Also, the district pays $350 toward employees’ TRS ActiveCare insurance.

  • Substitute Teacher

Substitute teachers are responsible for providing instruction and managing classroom environments in absence of the regular teacher. Substitute teachers are required to perform all of the duties of the teacher that they are subbing for. They usually report to the principal at the location to which they are assigned. Substitute assignments can be for just a day, a week, or sometimes for longer periods depending on the absence period of the regular teacher. Training will be provided.

  • Elementary Paraprofessional

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our staff. You will play an important role in providing our students with the academic support they need. Under the supervision of a lead teacher, you will mentor students in small groups inside the regular classroom.

Paraprofessional Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent

  • Must be 18 years of age
