  • Custodial Position

Chireno ISD is looking to add to our fantastic service staff.  We are looking for someone who is meticulous and self-motivated to work in a custodial position. School bus driver certification is preferred but not required.   • High School English

  • District Counselor

Chireno ISD is looking for an individual to provide a developmental guidance program that serves all students and encourages them to maximize personal growth and development. This person must also possess organizational skills and have the ability to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and community members to deliver opportunities and services to students.  This individual should also be familiar with CTE and CCMR programs.  Qualifications include a valid Texas Counselor Certificate and a master’s degree is preferred.  Interested candidates should apply by going to the district’s website at www.chirenoisd.org (Administration → Employment), download a professional application, then submit completed application to brian.gandy@chirenoisd.org.   • Ag Mechanics Teacher

Chireno ISD is currently looking for an ag mechanics teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.  This individual will need to possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or an AWS certification with experience in welding and metal fabrication per CISD’s District of Innovation (DOI) plan.  The district currently pays $5,000 above state base with an additional $1,000 for a masters degree.  Also, the district pays $350 toward employees’ TRS ActiveCare insurance.

  • Substitute Teacher

Substitute teachers are responsible for providing instruction and managing classroom environments in absence of the regular teacher. Substitute teachers are required to perform all of the duties of the teacher that they are subbing for. They usually report to the principal at the location to which they are assigned. Substitute assignments can be for just a day, a week, or sometimes for longer periods depending on the absence period of the regular teacher. Training will be provided.
