From the Chireno Owls Sports Wire: Friday night's games with Burkeville have been cancelled. These games are expected to be rescheduled but no time table has been established as of yet. CISD will release information about a make up date when it becomes available.

From the Chireno Owls Sports Wire: Friday's 2 home games against Burkeville will now begin at 5:30 pm with the girls' varsity game and then immediately followed by the boys' varsity game. Both of these games will be live streamed on the Chireno ISD facebook page. Saturday's JV & Varsity girls' games are still slated to begin at 2:00 pm as the Teneha Lady Tigers come to town. Please remember that spectators must be temperature screened upon entry into the gym and must wear masks at all times. From the Chireno Owls Sports Wire: Tomorrow night's games scheduled at Zavalla will be played Thursday evening instead. The varsity girls' game will tip off at 6:00 pm with the varsity boys playing immediately afterward. These two games were moved due to a lack of availability of game officials.

Congratulations to Kimberly Sloane who has been chosen as one of the recipients of the 2020 UIL Sponsor Excellence Award. She has been a dedicated UIL sponsor and coach for Chireno ISD for many years and we are so excited that her efforts have been recognized by the league.
