We hope you can join us this evening for our annual Meet the Owls event at 6:00 pm in the gym. We'll introduce this year's boys' and girls' basketball squads as well as our cheerleaders for the 2025-2026 season. Please don't forget that our junior high softball and baseball teams will play at home this afternoon with both games beginning at 4:00 pm. Our softball team will host New Summerfield while our baseball teams will entertain Brookeland. Our Lady Owls performed well this past weekend in Central in their initial scrimmage of the season and will travel to Pine Tree High School tomorrow afternoon for their final scrimmage. This Friday marks the first official game of the season for our ladies as they will head south to take on Brookeland. The JV will tip things off at 5:00 pm with the varsity playing immediately afterward. Our boys' teams began practice last week and are gearing up for their only scrimmage of the season when we host Slocum next Tuesday at 5:00 pm.

This play is written by Don Zolidis and directed by Mrs. Alicia Mathews. These are public performances and the community is invited to attend. Admission is $5 per person at the door.

From the Chireno Owls Sports Wire: Congratulations to freshman Maci Turner and senior Anthony McLaughlin on their great cross country season! Both ran extremely well yesterday at the regional meet in Huntsville but came up short of advancing to state. Coming off victories over New Summerfield on Monday afternoon, both the junior high softball and baseball teams will be back in action tomorrow afternoon and again on Saturday morning as they are slated to play in the Douglass Junior High tournaments. Tomorrow, both teams will play New Summerfield again at 3:00 pm. On Saturday morning, both teams will get underway at 8:00 am against Wells then play again at 11:00 am against Zavalla.
