From the Chireno Owls Sports Wire: Saturday's basketball scrimmage between the Lady Owls and San Augustine has been cancelled. However, the Lady Owls' Tuesday scrimmage against Huntington is still scheduled to be played at home beginning at 5:00. Players will be given 4 tickets each to be dispersed at their discretion for entrance into the scrimmage. No money will be taken at the gate on Tuesday but in order to be granted entrance into the gym to watch, spectators must possess one of these tickets. Masks will be required at all times. The annual Meet the Owls event is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5, from 6:00-7:00. Just like protocol for our home basketball games, only four spectators per player, cheerleader, and coach will be allowed to attend and masks must be worn at all times while in the gym. We are excited for the upcoming season and our 20-21 Owls and Lady Owls are ready to play!
