From Chireno ISD: For Immediate Press Release...Chireno ISD will be delaying the start of school tomorrow, Wednesday, January 24, until 10:00 AM. Our buses will run approximately two hours later than usual. This is due to the excessive rain we have received over the past couple of days and with more expected tonight. Several of our roads where our buses travel are currently experiencing flooding and this could prove dangerous for any drivers attempting to travel before daylight. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of our students and their parents, our bus drivers, faculty and staff is the highest priority in this situation.

From Chireno ISD: For Immediate Press Release...Chireno ISD will hold classes tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, beginning at 10:00 AM. This delay in start time is out of an abundance of caution for our bus drivers, commuters, parents, and students. Buses will run 2 hours later than usual and all CISD employees should be at school by 9:30 to prepare for the day.
