They will play in West Sabine on Wednesday, March 13, at 5:00 pm. This game is a make up game from this past Friday.

From the Chireno Owls Sports Wire: Good luck to our Mighty Owls baseball team as they host Burkeville today on the home diamond. First pitch is scheduled for high noon. Tomorrow, our varsity squad will travel to Livingston to take on Leggett for an 11:00 am match up. At the end of this week, our JV team will travel to Chester for a doubleheader beginning at 11:00 am on Saturday. Our Lady Owls will not play this week but will be back in action on March 19 as they will travel to Brookeland for a 5:00 pm game.


From the Chireno Owls Sports Wire: Saturday's baseball games in Cushing will no longer take place due to unplayable field conditions. Instead, our Mighty Owls will travel back to Douglass to play Frankston at 3:30 pm.

From the Chireno Owls Sports Wire: Today's softball game at West Sabine has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions. The game has tentatively been moved to Wednesday, March 13, at 5:00 pm at West Sabine. Also, Monday's home softball game against Burkeville originally scheduled for 11:00 am has been moved to a 4:00 pm game on Monday, April 1. Don't forget that our Mighty Owls baseball team is back in action tomorrow for two games at Cushing High School beginning at 11:00 AM. Additionally, good luck to our UIL debate teams as they head to UT Austin for their state competition that will last from Monday through Wednesday of next week.


From the Chireno Owls Sports Wire: Fresh off of a convincing win over Zavalla last night, our Mighty Owls will enter the Douglass Classic Round Robin Tournament beginning this afternoon with a 5:15 game against the Douglass Indians. Tomorrow, we will face Troup at 9:00 am in Douglass. On Saturday, we will shift play over to Cushing High School for two games against Frankston and Cushing. Those games are scheduled for 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Our Lady Owls softball squad will be on the road Friday afternoon in a district game against West Sabine. First pitch is slated for 5:00 pm. Also, good luck to our high school track teams as they compete at the San Augustine track meet this afternoon!

Their rendition of "The Cover of Life" resulted in senior Trinity Crocker receiving the award for Best Actress. Our high school OAP will be back at Panola College on March 21 competing for the opportunity to advance to Area. Way to go, Chireno OAP!
Today's softball and baseball games against Zavalla have been postponed due to the tremendous amount of rain we received this morning. The baseball game will be played Wednesday, March 6, here at home beginning at 6:00 pm. The softball game is tentatively set to be made up on March 26 with the time and location to be determined later.

From the Chireno Owls Sports Wire: Our softball and baseball teams will be competing in tournaments this weekend beginning Thursday. Our Lady Owls will be playing in the Blues Brothers Softball tournament in Nacogdoches and will begin play bright and early Thursday morning at 9:40 am against Central Heights. They will return to the field later in the afternoon for a 3:00 pm contest against Martinsville. On Friday, they are slated to play at 4:00 pm and again at 8:00 pm. On Saturday, our ladies will take the field at 3:00 pm and again at 4:40. Good luck, ladies!
Our Mighty Owls baseball squad will be heading to the Groveton Tournament where they will begin play Thursday afternoon at 3:50 against Elkhart. They will finish the night with a 7:50 tilt against Woden. On Friday, we will take the field at 3:50 pm for a game against Deweyville followed by a 7:30 game with host Groveton. Congratulations to our Mighty Owls baseball team as they hammered out a convincing 14-4 win over Kennard last night! The win was the result of some timely hitting and solid pitching performances by our three hurlers who took the mound. Our varsity team will be back in action this weekend at the Groveton Tournament beginning on Thursday.

Our Mighty Owls baseball team opens the season today in the Joaquin Tournament (Thursday-Saturday). They will play their first game at 1:00 against Logansport, then return to the field at 3:00 against Mt. Enterprise. On Friday, the Owls will play Waskom at 3:00 pm. On Saturday morning, we will play Joaquin at 9:00 am.
