Directed by Mrs. Alicia Mathews, their production of "Steel Magnolias" will now compete at the Area round of competition at Union Grove High School on April 1. While our Lady Owls softball team will have a bye this Friday, our Mighty Owls baseball squad will travel to Chester on Thursday for a 4:00 pm district matchup. Also, our varsity boys and girls track teams will be in action at Cushing on Thursday. Events are scheduled to get underway at 3:15 pm.

Our Lady Owls will host the Brookeland Lady Cats beginning at 5:00 pm. An hour later, our Mighty Owls will take on the Brookeland Wildcats on the home diamond. The concession stand will be up and running so it should be a great time at the ball fields. Also, congratulations to Barrett Bennefield and Cason Mancill for placing 2nd in the SETX Bass Tournament this past weekend. These young men represented our school extremely well, defeating all but one team out of nearly 500 total entries. Way to go, guys!

This meet was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday but was moved up a day. Our Junior High track teams will compete next on Monday, March 20, in Cushing beginning at 3:15 pm. Our high school track teams will compete in Cushing on Thursday, March 23. That meet is also scheduled to begin at 3:15 pm.

Our varsity baseball team will be playing in the Douglass Tournament March 9-11. Our Lady Owls will host West Sabine on Friday beginning at 5:00 pm.
Also, congratulations to our One-Act Play cast and crew as they advanced to the Bi-District level of competition yesterday! Their production of "Steel Magnolias" garnered numerous individual accolades under the direction of Alicia Mathews. Their next performance will be March 21.

After a classic come from behind 8-7 win over Woden this past Tuesday night, our Lady Owls fell short to Garrison this morning in their initial game of the Nacogdoches Blues Brothers Tournament. They will play tomorrow morning at 9:30 and will likely play again in the afternoon. Saturday, they will play at 11:50 am and again at 3:40 pm. Meanwhile our baseball team will be battling in the Groveton tournament this weekend. So, good luck to our teams this weekend!
For next week (Spring Break): our varsity baseball team will be in action on the road Tuesday, March 7 at Zavalla for a 6:00 pm game. They are also slated to play in the Douglass Tournament March 9-11. Our JV baseball squad will play Burkeville next Friday, March 10, at home. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
